Historic Restorations is a Lancaster-based business specializing in the restoration of 18th, 19th, and early 20th century structures.  Historic Restorations recently rebranded to Keperling Preservation Services after the original business owners retired to Arizona and Jonathan & Danielle Keperling took over operations.

Danielle wanted to honor the original logo while creating something with a more modern, updated look.  We incorporated the columns and architectural detailing and freshened the fonts used throughout the design.  A new color scheme was developed based on three definitive colors of early America – Dark Scarlet, Navy, and Colonial Blue.  We created a primary logo and two secondary logos for use throughout the brand.

Letterhead, envelope, and business card designs were created.  Danielle wanted to showcase an offer for a free maintenance report on the back of the business cards.  The logo, name, title, and contact icons found on the front of the business cards were printed with a raised effect for a luxe, memorable feel.

Danielle also wanted to showcase the offer for the free maintenance report through her Facebook page, so we created a coordinating cover image.  A secondary version of the logo serves as the profile image for the page.

Danielle and Jonathan created a podcast to share their knowledge of restoration and maintenance, as well as various historical topics.  The previous podcast image did not include both Jonathan and Danielle, so we wanted to incorporate a photo of them together in the new podcast image.

A newsletter design was created. This publication features a greeting from Danielle, a “Preservation Spotlight”, a “Preservation Pointer”, information on upcoming community events, and more. The fonts, colors, and imagery found in the design all mesh with the brand flawlessly.  The newsletter is printed on 11×17 stock, folded twice, sealed, and mailed to subscribers several times throughout the year.

The rebranding process was a success.  Danielle and Johnathan were able to incorporate fresh aesthetics into their brand, while also honoring the vision of the previous business owners.  We plan to redesign several postcards, flyers, and web graphics in the near future.
